Scalably Hosts Smartphone Pro Esports Experience at Summer Conference Festival to Address Social Issues for Children
Scalably Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo; CEO: Junya Yamamoto) organized an experiential esports booth for children at “Tobikome, Mirai Department Store” during the Summer Conference Festival held at Pacifico Yokohama on July 19–20, 2025, hosted by the Junior Chamber International Japan (JCI Japan).
This initiative provided next-generation children with opportunities to experience emerging future occupations such as AI, healthcare, and construction, alongside a mobile-first professional esports athlete workshop.
Addressing Child Poverty and Social Disparities Through Esports
According to recent data, one in nine children in Japan faces relative poverty, often resulting in limited access to extracurricular experiences and hands-on career education. Esports offers high accessibility across geographical and physical barriers, creating a level playing field where children can build self-efficacy, digital literacy, and collaborative communication skills.
Through hands-on tournament play, strategic teamwork exercises, and direct mentorship from professional players, Scalably showcased how digital entertainment can serve as an inclusive educational vehicle.
Future Outlook
Scalably will continue expanding community-based educational initiatives and collaborative esports programs with municipalities and organizations nationwide, empowering every child to explore their potential in the digital society.
